This project started with a very cold damp barn which was open to the elements, the whole structure had to be underpinned and steel work installed in the roof to form the structure.
The end result was a stunning conversion mainly due to the specific design cues the customer had for how the finished product should look. The double 4-meter-long roof lights flood the room with light, highlighting the polished concrete floor which encases the underfloor heating. The crittall style doors and windows fit in perfectly against the stone walls. The modern look of the steel and oak mezzanine with its frameless glass balustrade gives a great vantage point for the original high-level window as well as bringing a modern touch to the room.
